Before we left St. Louis for France, we went to an excellent exhibition at the St. Louis Art Museum, about automobiles, art and fashion in France from 1919 to 1939. The exhibition really got us in the mood for France. Take a look.

I suspect about 99% of visitors to France spend zero time outside Paris and the other big cities (okay, Americans might visit Normandy) and so do not see one of France's secrets: outside those cities is a beautiful rural France. We love to see this side of France; come with us for a look.
